Rauss Caulder is the Charleston-based design practice of R. Chandler Collins. As a rural South Carolina native, he has a nostalgic view of the lowcountry focused on authentically living with our homes, their stories, and the world around them.

Collins' approach is to always have one foot in the past with the other firmly planted in the present. He brings together custom furnishings, finishes, antiques, and art into unexpected combinations that feel inevitable and classic.

 

His rooms are handsome, occasionally eccentric, and above all, meant to be lived in.
